Second edition of Jan Sunwai Sammelan (JSS) was organised by the capital complex district administration at Banderdewa Nyokum Ground today. The main purpose of the sammelan was to facilitate service delivery to the citizens at their doorstep, under the scheme ‘Government at your doorstep (Sarkar aapke dwar)’ .

It was inaugurated by Head Gaon Burah of Banderdewa Shri Gichik Lalin. The JSS is an initiative of the state government, which was passed in the 2018-19 budget, directing every deputy commissioner to conduct such monthly camps in their respective districts to bring government machinery closer to the citizens.

Citizens were educated and awareness was also held on consumers’ rights and duties, disaster management, sanitation, legal awareness, Gem, Digital payments etc.

The health department registered 340 beneficiaries and provided services like screening for diabetes and hypertension under the NCD, with free checkups for blood sugar, BP, BMI and toxin analysis, malaria blood test, etc. Total of 67 girl child were registered under the Dulari Kanya Yojana.
Labour and Employment Department registered 21 job seekers and issued 57 forms to beneficiaries. The department also issued various items such as Solar light, mosquito net, Gumboot etc to 33 beneficiaries.

SBI opened 34 bank accounts, 16 Atal Pension Yojanas and 50 other benerficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Jivan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Bima Yojana.
The Itanagar Municipal Council also issued 128 forms for Trade Licenses and Tax and Excise department too issued forms for opening of wine shops in rural areas. APEDA issued various items to beneficiaries under Ujala scheme.

The power department facilitated 14 free load security connections, besides handing new service connection forms for free.The food & civil supplies department issued a total of 500 forms for new LPG connections
Total of 18 departments offered their services under one roof.

PHE department distributed 20 dustbins and issued forms for new water connections.

Statistic department completed 62 AADHAR enrolment. Police Department gave information regarding various topics viz; complaint lodging, character verification, lost and found, tenant registration etc. Circle Office of Banderdewa issued 150 PRCs, 50 birth certificates, 10 income certificates and 150 ST certificates.

Deparment of Transport issued 62 learner’s driving license, and registered 9 vehicles. Deparment of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary attended 136 cases and completed 16 canine verification.

Oju Mission while participating in the sammelan created awareness on child adoption procedures, women helpline and One Stop Center.
