Tax & Excise
There are 3(three) zones under the jurisdiction of DC, Capital Itanagar:
- Zone 1- Naharlagun
- Zone 2-Itanagar
- Banderdewa Zone.
- Processing of application for issue and renewal of IMFL/Beer retail,Bar, Wholesale and bonded warehouse, bottling plant and breweries license.
- Issues Lifting Permits to the retailers and wholesalers for lifting IMFL/Beer from wholesellers/bonded warehouse in Form B.
- Online issuie issue of VAT and GST registration number.
- Issues VAT and registration numbers to Petrol pumps/IMFL Licensees(Bonded Warehouse only) online and maintains their tax returns.
- Updation of GSTIN details:
- Undertakes updation of GSTIN details of dealers on receipt of request from the dealers.
- Checking of unregistered dealers:
- Carries out field verifications to check the registration details of dealers and instruct the unregistered dealers to compulsorily register their firms under VAT/GST.
- Conducting e-way bill checking:
- The field verification team conducts checking of e-way bills to ensure that no vehicle carrying materials enter the state without e-way bills.
- Surprise checking of illegal sale of Liquors:
- To control the unauthorized slling of liquor by Ghumtis and vendors, surprise checking is carried out at regular intervals.
- Checking of Wine Shops/Bars:
- Conducts checking of wine shops to ensure that all wine shops remain closed in Dry Days as notified as per AP Excise Act,1993 read with AP Excise Rules,1994.
- Also conducts checking of Wine shops/Bars in collaboration with the Magistrates and civil police to see if the wine shops remain open beyond the permissible time limit.
