Roles and responsibilities: Under the Lead bank Scheme, the following are mandated:
- Block Level Bankers’ Committee (BLBC)- with LDM as the Chairman
- District Consultative Committee (DCC)- with the Dy. Commissioner as Chairman
- District Level Review Committee (DLRC)- with the Dy. Commissioner as Chairman
- State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC)- with the Chairman/Managing Director of the Convenor Bank as Chairman and the Addl. Chief Secretary as Co- Chairman
These meetings are held quarterly. Brief agenda of these meetings are as under:
- Preparation of Annual Credit Plan
- Organising Financial awareness/Financial literacy camps
- Addressing public grievances
- Status of opening of Banking outlets in unbanked/ uncovered villages/areas
- Review of operations of CSPs
- Ensure penetration of digital transactions
- Creating awareness about various products and Schemes of the Govt. as well as Banks
- Increasing CD ratio
- Recovery of loans
- Discussion on the policy initiatives of the Govt.
- Discussion on market intelligence
- Other agendas
In addition to the roles mentioned above, LDMs are assisting the District Authorities in the following areas:
- PMEGP loan
- DeenDayalUpadhyaySwavalambanYojana Scheme
- Mudra Loan
- KCC loan
- ANBY & ANKY
- PMFME
- NULM and NRLM loans
- Coverage under the PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY
- Street vendor loans
- Timely release of Subsidy component where ever the same is applicable.
- Holding of Financial Literacy camps
