1. Urban Planning Including Town & Country Planning
2. Implementation/Regulations/Amendment of Urban and Country Planning Act, 2007

• Preparation, implementation and regulation of Interim Development Plan (IDP) and Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) for notified Planning Areas including urban/rural areas.
• Demarcation of Urban (town) Areas boundary.
• Preparation and Regulation of Land use of the city/town/rural growth centers; transport planning, zonal plan, sectoral planning, service layout plan, utility mapping and site plan for residential colonies and government establishments.
• Prescription, updating and regulation of land use of the city/town/rural growth centers.
• Regional Planning (planning for tourism, disaster mitigation plan, economic corridor planning, planning for regional development, etc).
• Controls of development and Use of land.
• Any other functions assigned by the State Government from time to time.

3. Implementation/Regulation/ Amendment of Arunachal Pradesh Building Byelaws 2019.
4. Monitoring of building constructions and issue of building permits.
5. Implementation of Arunachal Pradesh Tenancy Act (which is under framing), as an when said Act is notified the existing Building (Lease, Rent & Eviction) Control Act shall be repealed.
6. Implementation of Real Estate (Regulation & Development) 2016 – under constitution of RERA and REAT committee.
7. Implementation of Arunachal Pradesh Land & Ecological Site (Protection and Management) Act, 2018.
