• Provide cheap transport service and facilities to the common people and connecting bus services to every feasible road.
• It also provides Inter-State Bus services such as Itanagar to Guwahati, Shillong, Dibrugarh etc.
• Provides Inter-district services connecting all the districts to state capital.
• Also provides Intra-district services in all feasible roads such as Itanagar to Jote, Poma, Balijan,Kimin, Tarasso etc.
• APST also provides city services within the Capital region, Railway, School and staff bus services.
• APST also operates Volvo (Hi-tech) bus having ten fleet strength under PPP mode with the Sachancompany by the initiative of the Govt. of AP.
• The APST bus are requisitioned during an emergency as well as on state and national programme by the govt./district administration such as during Election, Law and Order problem, disaster, Republic Day and Independence Day Celebrations etc.
• The state Transport Services department provides bus Concession Cards to persons with disabilities.
